I enjoyed the first day of class because of the activities we did. It was a real motivating first day of a class and it made the work yet to come in the class seems more like a challenge and not a burden. Of course the most interesting part was when the whole lass took part in the “Name Game”. I feel that above everything the activity was a great ice breaker for the class. I would definitely consider doing this activity with my students in the first week of school. I really enjoyed this specific version of the name game. The reason is because I had played this game in other classes, with idea of coming up with something creative to help your classmates memorize your name. That concept was made the game not only fun, but challenging. I had played this game and was good at it because I have a good memory but it got kind of dull about halfway through the game. Having all the students come with creative device to go along with their name kept the game interesting all the way till the end because every one came up with something completely different and unique to their own name.
Overall, the “Name Game” is a leaning experience that I will not soon forget. It also showed everyone in the class a new activity that we all can use as future/current educators with students of all ages.
