The lesson itself on memory was very useful. It comes at an appropriate time, because lately at times I think I'm loosing my mind. The examples given by you and the class of forgetting to do something, namely turning off the stove, made me feel so much better. I often have thoughts like did I turn this off or close that, and when I can't remember, I think I was losing my memory. The suggestion Lauren gave, with your reinforcement, to relate it to time was a useful technique. Thank you for clarifying I'm not losing my mind and that when this happens we need to slow down and pay attention to detail. It was another great class, Dengting. I could see the sheer joy and pleasure you had, through your expressions, teaching us Chinese, as well as the rest of class. Thank you for being a great teacher:)

Class last night was extremely fun and intriguing. The class flew by, just like you said, Dengting, when you looked at your clock up front, around 8:30. As usual the journals were a great opener and your surprise that followed was very exciting. When you said after journals, okay now is your surprise, I actual felt anticipation to see what it was. The surprise was very fun. I love new and different experiences and had a great time learning Chinese. When you said it will be useful to have in the classroom, to welcome a student who is Chinese/Asian, you were so accurate. I learned hello, konnichiwa, in Japanese when I was fourteen and have used it in the classroom even when no Japanese/Asian students were present. Children (most), just like adults, love learning anything new. The children I shared konnichiwa with loved it and loved saying it over and over.
