I really enjoyed the teaching panel discussion activity. It let the class hear different peoples points of view on certain situations and allowed expression of new ideas to help in many challenging classroom settings.

I also really liked hearing the differences of behavior in students in China and students in the United States. It was really interesting to hear how strict Chinese students parents are about school compared with parents in the U.S. I think this activity would be great for any high school classroom whether it be a Math class or an English class because it gives the students a chance to ask questions that they maybe have had for a long time, and get their peers opinions on what they ask. Many times, it is also more comfortable for students to talk and work with each other than it is with the teacher because some students may feel intimidated or shy.

I also think this would be a great activity for the first week of school because students can take turns on the panel and get to know a little bit about each other, rather than just knowing each others names. So far, this activity is one of my favorites and I will definitely use it in my classroom when I become a teacher.
