My role model, my motivation, my inspiration

My role model, my motivation, my inspiration

I really enjoyed hearing about everyone’s role models in class Thursday. Each role model had a unique personality trait that made them fascinating. I thought that Gill’s role model was really interesting. Her grandfather sounds like he is very wise and probably tells some really good stories because he has gone through so much. I chose my role model to be my boyfriend because he is always there for me whenever I am in need.

In my senior year high school, I concentrated too much on my friends. I never did poorly in school, but I know I probably could have done better if I worked a little harder. Since I am the first person in my family to go to college, I feel that I came in blindfolded. I had no idea what the experience or work would be like. If it wasn’t for my boyfriend helping me and guiding me through my stressful semesters, I probably would still not be working to the best of my ability. School never came easy to me; I had to study twice as much as anyone else, but now I am working really hard and concentrating less on my social life. I find myself now to be proud of my accomplishments.
