I believe when you are registering for any course, you must have confidence that you will work hard to achieve the best grade you can get. Before I registered for EDI 17, I heard that there was a heavy workload for the class. However, I did not care about the heavy workload because I am a hard worker. I have confidence in myself that I will be able to do great in EDI 17.

After the second-class day, I went home and thought if all of the work required for this class is going to overwhelm me. At first, I thought of course, there are a lot of requirements and assignments. However, after thinking about the workload for about ten minutes I concluded that if I work hard, I would succeed. Confidence is not the only thing you need when thinking about succeeding in a class. Determination along with confidence is the key for success in any class no matter how heavy or light the workload is. It is not going to be easy the first few years of being a new teacher. New teachers, in my opinion probably have a lot of work to deal with in their first few years of actually teaching.

A class like EDI 17 with a heavy workload prepares us as future teachers not to worry about the workload and the stress. EDI 17 is a class that will help us as students/future teachers learn how to keep on task and complete all assignments. I am very determined to do well in EDI 17 because I feel that all of the EDI/EDS classes are there guide you to become an effective teacher. Being an effective teacher is necessary in today’s schools.
