Today our class had a panel discussion. We were told that six teachers would be joining us to answer any questions we had about teaching. When Professor Boyanton told us this I initially thought that six licensed teachers were going to be coming into our classroom to talk about their experiences as teachers. However, to my surprise, students from the class who had previous experiences tutoring, assisting a teacher, or even just helping kids in their family with school work, were the six panelists.

At first, I was a bit weary about my fellow classmates answering question about teaching that I had and didn't think they would be able to answer a lot of the questions and felt the discussion would be dull. However, as we began to ask questions and discuss various topics I became very confident in their abilities. The panelists had so much to say and answered all the questions great and to the nest of their ability! They really did a great job and I learned so much from hearing about their experiences and how they would react to certain situations when dealing with a young student. I can’t wait to begin my journey as a teacher!
