Today’s class was a very engaging class. I feel like this is a very important aspect of learning. A large problem that adolescents have relating to lack of motivation is lack of engagement. If students don’t feel the need to partake in their learning environments than in my opinion, education is essentially unimportant. I believe that society has placed such an emphasis on education that it has become more of a requirement than a privilege. Throughout history education has always been a privilege in which has served as a very important source of motivation throughout the years.

Society has accepted mediocrity in which challenges have become scarce. As a part of our culture, technology is easy accessible for most individuals. In some ways, technology has also contributed to the lack of motivation due to its insufficient uses. For example, television shows have often impacted the youth of our country in negative ways. Some programs provide the acceptance of sex, drugs, and alcohol in which have all become essential dangers in schools today. Also, the accessibility to search engines on the internet has also limited the challenges of finding research. These lacks of challenges are a detrimental yet contributing factor to the lack of motivation in today’s youth.
