I do not understand

I do not understand
Why bad things happen to good people
Or why suddenly everything just seems to blow up in your face
why people get upset about nothing

But most of all I do not understand
Why ill people are always full of life
or how someone who has lost so much can give so much
and why people who have everything just want more.

I do understand
that some people just have a heart
that doesn’t let them give up
I understand that sometimes they have a right to but they don’t

I realize that
Some people are born with so much talent and skill
That it doesn’t matter what kind of obstacles they have in their lives
They rise above and they survive.

Today’s class we learned about various types of intelligence. Intelligence is to use and gain knowledge in everyday life. I never knew there were so many different levels of intelligence and a person’s intelligence can make up their talent. I grew up with the concept of two types of intelligence, book smart and street smart. A book smart person is a person who very good in school and a street smart person is very good in everyday life. However now I know that everyone has individual’s illtelligence.

Also in today’s class we had a talent show, I love it. At first I was nervous because I did not know my talent. A few days before the talent show I was hesitating because I felt that I did not have any talent. Then I started to explore my hobbies and figure out that I was good at various different things, in a way my self – confidence grew. I like everyone talent, from snowboarding to horse backing riding, from sports to hair cutting and from scrapbooking to making balloon animals, I found everyone talent amazing. I understand now why we had the talent show because as teachers we must explore individual talent. To help students understand their talent we must know ours.
