I enjoyed today’s class, especially the activity we did together as a class. Today’s lesson was about all of the different possible learning styles that a person may have. It never occurred to me how many different styles there are. I knew of some of them, however, some were introduced to me today for the first time By learning about all of the different learning styles, I learned some new things about myself. I realized that I have many different learning styles and I am a mix of a few of them even if they are under one category. For example I believe that I am both legislative and executive. I think I am both of them because it depends on the situation.
Typically I like to sit back and let others take charge, but if no one steps up, or if they do it the complete opposite than I would do it then I tend to take a little more charge. I am also a visual, tactile, and an audio learner. I believe in order for me to learn to the best of my abilities a teacher much provide a significant amount of all three types of learning styles.
Today’s lesson taught us that everyone has different styles of learning. As a teacher you have to provide an equal amount off all learning styles that benefit the students. However, it is very difficult to satisfy everyone’s needs. A teacher must get to know their students and what learning styles facilitate their abilities the best.
I also enjoyed the activity we did together as a class. It allowed us to get closer with our classmates in a fun way. We were able to learn who had the most in common with us when it came to learning styles. By doing this activity it further reinforced the fact that everyone learns differently, and has different learning styles. .
