Using Talent Show to Demonstrate Gardner's MI Intelligence Theory

I really enjoyed today’s class.  I liked how the class was divided into two parts.  In the first part we learned about intelligence and different styles of intelligence, and in the second section we did a talent show.  The talent show helped to reinforce the different styles of intelligence and how people apply them differently.  It also pointed out that there are more than the eight types of intelligence we learned about.

When going over the different types of intelligence I realized that I have more than one style of intelligence, but not one style completely described my intelligence.  I believe that parts of some styles listed define my intelligence; however, a good portion of my intelligence is still left undefined. I believe that I am my intelligence is part bodily-kinesthetic and part natural.  I believe I have both types of intelligence because both are needed in the sport I play.  I am an equestrian.  Being a horseback rider I need to have control over my body, as well as over my horse.  Both of those styles reflect my intelligence as an equestrian.  I am still trying to figure out what other intelligence skills I have, even if they are not listed.

I also learned today that I am analytical and practical.  I think I am more practical in my day to day life, but when it comes to my writing I believe that I am analytical.  When I have to write a paper I tend to be more analytical because I break down each component in order to write a good paper.
