Growing up I always had a select few friends that I was close with. In the early years of high school it was the five of us girls who did everything together. We went to the movies, dances, hung out at everybody’s houses and hung out in school. Of course when you bring a bunch of girls together you are naturally going to have confrontations and some small fights, but what really separated us was just a change in who we were becoming. It was unfortunate, and still do this day I still do not know what completely broke us apart but we were never a group of five anymore.
I know that we all started changing; our views on school and parties, and getting involved in relationships made us all realize I guess that we were growing apart. I remain very close to one of the girls today, but we look back at our past with the other girls and just move on. I think it is just something that adolescents go through, especially girls. Adolescents’ views are changing so rapidly and they are becoming closer to adults, and sometimes their views and personalities start to clash. It is unfortunate, but it is a fact of growing up. .
