How confident am I in my abilities as a future educator in behavior management? After having discussions in today's class and observing my classroom, I have noticed many techniques and strategies in incorporating appropriate classroom management. Being that I have not prior experience in teaching, I will have to rely on my own values and strategies I have learned in education to properly execute effective classroom management.

I have really learned a lot through my observations and recordings for my research. I will say that sticking to a set of guidelines set by the teacher and students is important in establishing a set of rules and regulations within a class. I also feel that a mutual respect is something that is earned over time and that a teacher must not focus too much on authority or power or else the students will confront this in a negative manner and the respect and ability to manage the class will have been lost!

I do feel confident in my abilities to manage a class and will have to rely on my own values and experiences when I get to that point. I will only truly know when I encounter these issues and, hopefully, will follow through so my students gain the most they can out of my classroom!
