I have to say that yesterday class was very intense. Even though I enjoyed the cross culture activity, I think it had some questions that could make a person very uncomfortable and too personal that might make a person not to go across the room. But at the same time it could make a person feel proud of what they are and that are not afraid of admitting their issues or experiences with others. The reason why I enjoyed it so much was the fact that it allowed individuals in the class to learn about other people’s lives and situation that they had to face in the past or that are still facing. I think that it is important to be reminded that no matter what color, gender, age, nationality or how popular a person might be, we all experience some type of discrimination or psychological abuse.
For example making fun of where a person lives is just ridiculous but there are people that care or judge someone by their SES. I have to say that the cross cultural activity reminded me that yes, there are people that are made fun of because of where they live, dress or act. One can learn a lot from simple activities like the one we had yesterday.
