Joy of learning: motivation to learn

Out of all my classes this semester I can honestly say this is my favorite one. I look forward to coming to this class because it is not like a traditional class. Professor Boyanton does not lecture us to boredom (like some of my classes.) Instead we have fun, engaging and interesting activities and lessons that I learn a lot from. Also, the activities we do in class can be used when we eventually become teachers. I know that I will be using the Community of Respect Activity when I become a teacher.

In comparison to my other classes I am focused and engaged in this one. I have notice I tend to tune out my professors in classes that just lecture the whole period. One time I tuned out my professor so much that I couldn’t tell you one thing that I heard or learned the entire hour and twenty minutes.

Lastly, with this class I feel like the homework demand is reasonable and useful. One of my professors piles so much homework on the class that it is unrealistic to accomplish. Some professors don’t take into account that students have other classes and obligations. All they care about is their class and their work.
