After the way the first class went by the second class I already felt so comfortable in my environment. I felt motivated to learn as well because of the class before. Today in class we went through the syllabus page by page which was very helpful because it was a very extended syllabus and I was a little confused when first going through it on my own. But once we went through it Professor Dengting explained our research topics, our grading criteria and everything else I was clear about how our class was going to go for the rest of the semester.
I enjoyed the Community of Respect activity because it gave me guidelines of how our classroom is going to be run and what is expected of me as a perspective teacher. It is very important to have a Community of Respect because without it the classroom will not be in order or organized. Having a Community of Respect shows students what is expected of them with their behavior and work. I am very confident in taking this course because I’ve just always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember and I enjoy working with children very much.
I am very determined in succeeding in this class because unlike my other classes while sitting in my education classes I am actually very intrigued because this is the reason that I enrolled myself in college so all of the discussions that we have are very interesting to me and I enjoy to hear what my professor and classmates have to say so that I can take that and apply it towards my studies in becoming a teacher.
