Today in class we learned about Piaget's theory of learning. I feel that it is important to provide your students with constructive feedback and create problems that will challenge your students. According to Piaget, it is important to learn so that students will be able to solve a problem without being clueless.

There are three main types of theories in which students learn. They are called assimilation, accommodation, and constructivism. This means that students are learning new information, but comprehending them differently. There are other stages of learning that Piaget has taught us. For example, the infant and toddler stage us sensory motor and perceptual concentration skills that allow them too focus on one single item. In contrast too infants, kindergartners use ego-centrism as away to listen to what people say, but are unable to understand why it is that way. Lastly, junior high students are not able to use abstract thinking to figure out information on their own. This theory is a process that every person must go through, which helps them learn.

Piaget's theory has helped me understand the importance of learning by questioning, analyzing, and discovering new information. It has taught me how to teach students in different grade levels. Every student learns differently, but if teachers use organization as away to help their students learn, perhaps they will be able to understand concept more clearly.
