My role model, my motivation, my love

The one person in my life that I consider my role model is my grandmother (Nonna). Although she has passed away recently I still see her as the greatest person in my life (besides my parents) and she always will be. Ever since I was born, Nonna lived with me and raised me all my life while my parents were working. Nonna and I would do absolutely everything together when I was younger and when I started to get older, even though we didn’t always spend time together I knew she was always there for me.

Nana was the nicest most caring woman I have ever met and would do anything to help someone out who is in need. She was the was the most fantastic cook and had a garden that took up over half of my backyard that she would tend to from morning until it was time to start dinner. Nonna has provided me with so much knowledge throughout the years whether it is one of her favorite recipes or how to play a mean card game of rummy 500, she was that absolute best and I hope that when I am a grandmother, I will treat my grandchildren the same way she treated me and hopefully I will be able to pass on the same knowledge, generosity and kindness like she did to everyone around her.
