Are you a risk-taker?

Although I used to take a lot of risks when I was younger, for some reason now I think many times before doing something that may bring consequences. When I compare the person who I am now to who I used to be back in high school I can see that I’ve grown up a lot in the past four years. I’m glad to say that I don’t really have many regrets. I can’t deny that the stupid things I did when I was a teenager were fun on their moment, and luckily I got to avoid the trouble that could’ve come from doing them, nevertheless, now that I’m more mature I look back and realize that I was not very smart on those days.

To be honest, I think that my impulsive behavior was an essential part of my development and I would not be the person that I am now if it wasn’t for my past experiences. Now that I am more responsible I could not say that I am a risk taker because I’ve become very cautious about what I do and how I do it, always thinking about the potential consequences of every decision I make. I know that my life may not be as fun anymore, but after seeing what has happened to many of my friends, who were not as lucky as I was after they did their shares of trouble, I am completely sure that I’m better of behaving like the young adult I am, and not living on the edge like I used to when nothing but having a good time mattered.
