I really enjoy this class; it’s by far the best class for me this semester. I appreciate all of our discussions. Yesterday’s class in particular, I really liked. It’s very interesting to hear other people’s stories and to see whom other people admire. It was also great to hear the reasons why my classmates admire the people they do because not all of them are so obvious. I really liked hearing everyone’s story as well as the discussion after everyone presented. Those final questions put everything in perspective of how to become a role model for students.
I know I had quite a few teachers that I looked up to, specifically during my senior year of high school; I admired my AP calculus teacher so much! She was ready to retire, but she acted as though it was her first year teaching. She was ALWAYS there for her students. I went to her at least three times a week right before classes to ask questions about my homework and she was always so willing to help even if she was busy with something else. Everyone loved her! Over winter break she held a review session one afternoon and just about everyone from her two AP calc AB classes showed up, there wasn’t a seat open in the entire class. My ambition is to be just as fantastic of a teacher as she was!
