I Learned Chinese What an interesting class, what you can learn when a lesson is creatively planned is great. I was surprised when the class was told that were going to have a lesson in Chinese. Well, I knew and though my professor had completely lost her mind J. Learning another language was out of the question. I can’t remember anything I learned from my previous foreign language classes so how was going to learn a language as hard as Chinese. Whatever, the circumstance I was up for the challenge.

We were given five different words and two different phrases. We were given ways of remembering these words and phrases by associating them with words in the English language. I was impressed when I was able to remember the words and phrases when I got home that night. I was so excited that I went to my parents house and showed them the techniques the professor showed the class and now my parents no how to say the phrases I learned. If my previous foreign language classes were taught to be that understandable I think I would have been able to retain what I learned to this day. With that one lesson it makes me want to try to conquer my fear of learning another language.
